Watersports Instuctor

£17,000 - £35,000

Teaching Sailing and Power Boating skills to children and adults of all abilities including running National Governing Body (NBG) Watersports courses such as the RYA or British Canoeing.

Qualifications:
RYA Dingy Instructor, RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor, BCU UKCC Level 2 Coach RYA Powerboat Instructor, RYA Cruising Instructor, First Aid.

Experience Required: 
Previous teaching or instructing will help but not essential.

Marine Photographer

£17,250 - £45,000

Photographers create visual images for an exceptional range of creative, technical and documentary purposes. As a professional Photographer you will usually work to a brief set by the client or employer. 

Qualifications:
Foundation Degree, Higher National Diploma or Degree in; Photography, Art and Design.

Experience Required:
Ability to use camera equipment to a high standard and a capability to create a portfolio to showcase your work.

Beach Lifeguard

£13,000 - £29,000

The primary role is to make sure the beach can be enjoyed safely by the public. Their aim is to prevent accidents before they happen. Up to 95% of the accidents are preventative.

Qualifications:
National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ).

Experience Required:
Varied skills in; swimming, watersports, health and safety, child safety and medical knowledge is essential.

Project Manager

£30,000 - £35,000

Leads and manages a project from start to finish, overseeing the build or refitting of a vessel. Manages staff, subcontractors and constantly liaises with the owner.

Qualifications:
Advanced training in Engineering through a Higher Apprenticeship or a Degree.

Experience Required:
Relevant project management and engineering experience.

Deckhand

£18,500 - £26,000

Deckhands operate and maintain equipment on the deck of a vessel and assist with docking and other operations. The deckhands together make up the deck crew and are responsible for maintenance.

Qualifications:
RYA qualifications such as Day Skipper, Power Boat Level 2 and VHF / SRC Radio Operators Certificate, but not essential.

Experience Required:
Prior knowledge of working on boats.

Chef

£13,000 - £50,000

Oversees a kitchen by managing other members of the food preparation team, deciding what dishes to serve and adjusting orders to meet guests’ requests and allergies. May assist in prep work, such as chopping vegetables, but more often will be involved in cooking speciality dishes.

Qualifications:
You can study a Foundation Degree, Higher National Diploma, or Degree in Professional Cookery and Culinary Arts.

Experience Required:
Have general knowledge and cooked in a work environment before.

Skipper

£20,000 - £60,000

Skipper is an informal name for the Captain, a way to address the person who’s at the helm of a boat.

Qualifications:
RYA Level 2 Powerboat or RYA Yachtmaster (depending on size of vessel), First Aid, Sea Survival and VHF Radio Licence.

Experience Required:
Starting as a Deckhand at Sea and learn on the job. Need around 19 months of experience to skipper a boat.

Superyacht Crew

£2,000 - £4,500 monthly

Working in the Superyacht industry allows you to travel and see the world: discover the pristine beaches, port towns, and stunning places like the Caribbean to the French hotspots. There are excellent career prospects; it is quite usual for a crew to climb the ladder and take on more roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications:
STCW Basic Safety Training, MCA Proficiency in Designated Security Details, RYA Powerboat Level 2, RYA Tender Operator, RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency and RYA Marine Short Range Radio.

Experience Required:
No experience required, all the above courses can be completed on a 3-week all-inclusive course.
