The Government has announced the annual changes to the rates for the National Minimum Wage (NMW) and National Living Wage (NLW) which come into affect from 1st April 2021. Note that the starting age for qualification to the National Living Wage has reduced from 25 to 23 from April.
- NLW (23+) – £8.91 (increase of 2.2%, 8.6% for 23 and 24 year olds)
- NMW (21+22) – £8.36 (increase of 2%)
- NMW (18-20) – £6.56 (increase of 1.7%)
- NMW (16+17) – £4.62 (increase of 1.5%
- Apprentice rate – £4.30 (increase of 3.6%)
