IN ORDER TO SECURE FUTURE ACCESS TO WORKPLACE LATERAL FLOW TESTING REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED BY 12th APRIL

Register to order free rapid lateral flow coronavirus tests for your employees by clicking here (government webiste)

On 5th April is was announced that all people in England will now be able to access twice- weekly rapid tests for coronavirus from 9th April.

Twice weekly testing is a vital tool in helping identify cases of coronavirus we would otherwise not find so getting into the habit of twice weekly testing as part of our everyday lives will help us all play a part in doing what we can to keep each other safe and alongside the vaccine ensure that we continue to ease our way out of lockdown.

HOW TO ACCESS TWICE-WEEKLY TESTING

Workplace testing – including ‘on premises’ and ‘workplace home test collect’:

To register your interest in future workplace testing or workplace collect (employees to collect from their workplace and use at home twice a week) you must register by 12th April – this will allow you to place orders for LFD kits in future; even if you are a business that is not open currently.

We would also recommend that businesses with more than 10 staff who have already signed up with the Community Testing Team also register on this site to ensure access to testing in future.

If you have less than 10 employees or are not able to register for any other reason, please see the options below:

Community testing: Cornwall Council are offering local community testing sites, where you can go to take a supervised test. To book a test visit: https://getatest.vdt.app/login

Community Collect : NHS Test & Trace sites across the country operate as symptomatic testing sites in the morning but are currently providing an afternoon collect option, where you can pick up a box of tests to use at home. To find your nearest site visit: Find a test centre (test-and-trace.nhs.uk)

Pharmacy collect: Thousands of pharmacies across England have signed up to offer pharmacy collect. When launched, you will be able to go to a participating pharmacy and pick up a free box of tests to use at home. NHS England’s site finder allows you to search pharmacies near you that offer pharmacy collect. Over the coming weeks more and more pharmacies will be signing up. https://maps.test-and-trace.nhs.uk/

Education: Secondary and college students are already being given tests to use at home twice a week, throughout term time and the holidays.

LFD Direct: For people who can’t access tests through the other routes, you can order a box of tests online or through 119, which will be delivered to your home.

If you are a Cornwall Council Department/Service or Partner please get in touch with the Cornwall Council Community Testing Team – mary.dawe@Cornwall.gov.uk to discuss appropriate testing support and distribution of kits.
