Subcontracting of Apprenticeship Delivery:
CMN subcontracts specialist training provision within apprenticeship standards to two accredited providers:
CMN has a long standing relationship with Accountancy Learning through the Awarding Body AAT. CMN is the only standalone AAT Test Centre in Cornwall enabling individuals to sit exams without travelling out of county.
Cornwall did not have any independent training providers who were able to offer the new Accountancy Apprenticeship Standards. Following requests from Cornish businesses, CMN began subcontracting the specialist elements of the standard to Accountancy Learning so that these apprenticeship routes could be accessed. CMN provides the wrap around support and mentoring for apprentices, soft skills and behaviours training and functional skills tuition and testing for these apprenticeship programmes.
Accountancy Learning have since gained direct access to Mainstream Government funding for Apprenticeships and CMN are supporting them to take apprentices through their own contract in the future.
Dynamo and CMN have worked together for a number of years as provider partners on ESF Funding Projects in the county. In 2018 it was clear there was a lack of Healthcare Apprenticeship provision open to GP Surgeries and other care agencies. CMN brought Dynamo in as a Subcontractor to support employers who required apprentices in this sector area. Dynamo Healthcare Training delivers the specialist sector knowledge while CMN provide wrap around support and mentoring, soft skills and behaviours training and functional skills as required. Dynamo have since gained access to Mainstream Government funding for Apprenticeships and CMN are supporting them to take apprentices through their own contract in the future.
All subcontractors are subject to thorough procurement and due diligence process prior to contracting. Further due diligence and quality visits are conducted regularly through the academic year.
