The Service & Team:
The Maritime Section are looking for two Seasonal Part Time Patrol Officers for the River Fal to cover the summer season. To work as part of a team of two covering every other weekend.
The Role:
These roles are responsible for undertake general maritime duties related to the collection of mooring, anchoring, berthing and pontoon fees, minor maintenance, refuse disposal and enforce local Bye-laws as necessary within the Ports of Truro and Penryn. As well as assisting with the day to day running of Malpas Marina.
This position will be subject to a basic criminal record disclosure check.
What you’ll need to succeed:
The weekend role will be required to work Saturday and Sunday every other weekend, working as a team of two Patrol Officers covering 8 hours per day from 0800hrs to 1600hrs and 1600 to 2000 on a Saturday once every 4 weeks. Both positions will commence at the beginning of May and finish at the end of September 2024 and will need some flexibility with hours to meet the needs of the service.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone that loves working on the water and is looking for a seasonal part time position.
You will need to have the ability to work alone and on your own initiative, have excellent customer care skills and knowledge of local waters, along with a RYA Powerboat competency qualification.
