Overview

As an Event Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role within a team, supporting Event Planners and Project Managers in bringing a variety of events to life. Whether you’re helping to select the perfect venue, collaborating with designers on event aesthetics, or coordinating logistics like transportation and catering, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities that keep every day unique and engaging.

Events span a wide spectrum—from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences, trade shows, and exhibitions. You’ll have the chance to work on events that bring together different groups of people, from corporate meetings and product launches to cultural and sporting events. Occupational profile

Provide support to Event Planners or Project Managers by carrying out a diverse range of tasks to plan, organise and deliver an event. For example, searching for the right location and venue for the event, working with the design team, organising logistics like transport and catering. Events can include conferences, meetings, trade shows and exhibitions, indoor and outdoor events, cultural events, sporting and music events, in the UK and abroad.

Duration

The apprenticeship will typically take between 18 months to complete.

Level

This apprenticeship standard is at Level 3.

Entry Criteria

We are looking for high quality candidates with good interpersonal skills and preferably Maths and English GCSE/Functional Skills.
