Details of standard
CMN Training is now registered to deliver the nationally approved Apprenticeship Standard as well as a bespoke new qualification accredited through the Open College Network at Level 2. CMN is delivering the employer-led apprenticeship designed by Cornwall Carpets & Flooring.
With regular contact from our tutor assessors, your apprentice will receive expert guidance alongside their work-based learning, ensuring a well-rounded member of staff. Training will be delivered at CC&F’s premises in Launceston.
Occupational profile
A trained craftsperson involved with the installation of either carpets, vinyl, linoleum and rubber or laminate flooring. Working in an efficient and safe manner, ensuring high level of customer care, working alone or within a team.
Duties and tasks include preparing the work area and sub-floor to a suitable standard to enable the installation of floorcoverings to the clients specification, interpret drawings and extract information.
Duration
The apprenticeship will typically take 30-36 months to complete.
Level
This apprenticeship standard is at Level 2.
Entry Criteria
We are looking for high quality candidates with good interpersonal skills and preferably Maths and English GCSE/Functional Skills.
