This sector-based work academy programme (SWAP) is designed to help learners who have been unemployed for up to 12 months, learning includes the skills needed to prepare for employment within Production Line work, including assessing levels of confidence and self-esteem, communicating effectively with people from different cultures, and understanding the importance of positive attitudes and behaviours at work. In addition, it will also include understanding the characteristics of appropriate work practice, discovering areas for personal development and identifying the required behaviour, attitudes and attributes for employment. At the end of training there will be a tour of potential work premises and interview for a job role.
