Overview

This course on Health and Safety in the Workplace has been developed to give learners a knowledge and understanding of health and safety. Aimed at those working as a supervisor, manager or team leader. It can also be used to train those who are preparing to start work at this level.

Course content

• Understand requirements for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• Understand the benefits of using a safety management system
• Understand the principles of risk assessment
• Understand the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards
• Understand how to manage the effects of accidents and incidents
