The Highfield Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace course has been developed to give learners a knowledge and understanding of health and safety. Aimed at those working as a supervisor, manager or team leader. it can also be used to train those who are preparing to start work at this level.

Aims and objectives

• Understand requirements for health, safety and welfare in the workplace
• Understand the benefits of using a safety management system
• Understand the principles of risk assessment
• Understand the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards
• Understand how to manage the effects of accidents and incidents.

Upon completion of this course, learners can progress onto Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment or Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace.
