Job title: Fabricator
Reports to: Production Manager
Location: Falmouth UK
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5hrs per week
Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays (28 days total), increasing by 1 day per year up to a maximum of 33 days.
Salary: £12-£13.50/hr Dependent on Experience
Summary
The successful applicant will be responsible for the welding and fabrication of bespoke equipment, components and subcontract projects to a high level of accuracy on a day-to-day basis. They will also be required to oversee the QC of the components produced ensuring that all components are made to drawings with a high level of quality and accuracy.
Responsibilities
· Quality Control of fabricated products
· Carry out welding and fabrication to meet project requirements in a timely manor
· Meet deadlines
· Day-to-day housekeeping
Essential Prerequisites
· Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
· Field relevant qualifications
· Experience of welding/fabricating precision components
· A high degree of self-motivation and ambition
· Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
· Good time management
· Willingness to work overtime as and required
· Experience of MIG (Pulse) and TIG
· Experience of cutting and drilling equipment including Plasma
· Quality Control of machined products
· Experience of fabricating for drawings
Preferred Prerequisites
· Understanding of welding symbols on engineering drawings
· Coding desired but not required
· NDT qualification
· Forklift qualification
· Background in marine engineering
