Cornwall Council’s Maritime Section are looking to appoint a full time Maritime Assistant based at the Council’s Harbour Workshop in Newham Road, Truro. You will be working as part of a small team providing general maritime and maintenance duties for the Cornwall Council ports and harbours. This is an interesting and varied post and we are looking for an enthusiastic person who can show a genuine interest in working within a marine environment. The successful candidate will need to demonstate some prior knowledge and understanding of the maritime industry and the ability to operate small craft as well as some experience of maintenance of boats and/or maritime assets.  You will need good IT skills as you will be required to assist the moorings officer with managing the mooring facilities.  A full driving licence is essential. You will be required to work Monday to Friday, but some flexibility will be needed to meet the needs of the service.
