We’re looking for a competent Assistant Stores person to join our team.

Job description

The Assistant Stores Person will help who can keep control of the stock and generally assist in the running of our busy Stores Department. The right person will have an eye for detail and be accurate and thorough in order to help the stores department run smoothly and efficiently, and will be expected to operate the store front during stores opening hours and respond to any queries and requests from the staff.

Your main duties will include:

·         Booking in Materials and Consumables and recording entry on ERP system

·         Replenishing consumables shelves and issue materials onto the shop floor

·         Control the booking in and out of company tools and organise repairs, servicing or sharpening as needed

·         General housekeeping to ensure all store areas are kept clean and tidy

·         Assisting with stock takes

·         Processing returns to suppliers

·         Provide cover for when the Stores manager is on leave or absent

Essential Skills

·         Organised and tidy

·         Able to use a computer

·         Pro-active and helpful

·         Knowledge of tools and tool repairs is a bonus

·         Must have a valid UK driving license

LOCATION

The place of work is normally Mylor Creek Boat Yard, Mylor Bridge, Falmouth TR11 5NS or at our additional site at Ponsharden, Falmouth TR10 8AB, or otherwise as may be dictated by the company.

PAY

An hourly rate of £10 per hour is offered depending on experience.
