Responsible to: Training, Delivery & Quality Manager
Purpose: The role of the Training Development and Support Officer is to assist the development, monitoring and efficiency of CMN’s Training Team and the associated service provision.
The postholder will contribute to the standardisation of all training materials and content and provide support for CMN’s role in current and future training contracts (including Adult Education Budget, European Social Fund projects, Apprenticeships) and support the team towards becoming a commercial training company.
Contract: Full time 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), Permanent
Location: CMN’s Offices, Falmouth
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Training, Delivery and Quality manager with the CMN’s training programmes
To include:
- Liaising with the Coordination and Training Teams to ensure all onboarding, enrolment, registrations and certification documentation is in place and monitoring timely registrations and trigger points for action
- Ensure examinations are scheduled, booked and administered according to strict regulations, including any updates or changes to candidate details
- Collate documentation for new course approvals, compliance and eligibility for funding
- Support the Coordination and Training Teams to develop the processes and mechanisms of CMN’s training and Apprenticeship delivery. To include:
- Support and monitor VQ Manager e-portfolio for tracking and delivery of apprenticeships and support the training delivery team across the portfolio as necessary, including adding new users to the system, running reports, supporting day to day access for learners, assessors and employers
- Establish andmonitor Apprenticeship tutor workplans
- Facilitating, taking notes and monitoring actions at standardisation meetings
- Collect information to standardise the design and development of CMN training courses and qualifications ensuring all developments meet the quality requirements of awarding and funding bodies. This will include supporting the Training Team in:
- coordinating resources and materials to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship standards of current Standards being delivered by CMN
- Support the design and coordination of new and current commercial training opportunities
- Support the Training, Delivery and Quality manager with Job Centre liaison and new training programmes
- Support the CMN delivery project teams such as AEB, Business Clusters, ELS and Flourish with course coordination work to enable CMN to respond to employer/sectoral skills demand.
- Support the Training, Delivery and Quality Manager in the benefits and opportunities of delivering new qualifications through current or alternative Awarding Bodies as required
- Coordinate and support the Training, Delivery and Quality manager to review CMN’s policies on an annual basis
- Support the Delivery team with audit and quality requirements of the ESFA, Ofsted and European funded contracts , including:
- Support and coordinate the maintainance of all appropriate quality systems and associated paperwork
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails for training activity
- To participate in team development activities and undertake training as agreed with Management.
- Contribute to the continual quality improvement processes of CMN
- Any other duties consistent with the grade and general responsibilities of the post as may, in addition, be required from time to time
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria:
- A minimum of three year’s experience in an administration/coordination role
- A high level of computer literacy, particularly in the use of Windows and experience of using or setting up a data/information (MIS) systems
- Ablility to support quality improvement initiatives and monitor audit documentation to Company standards
- A high level of literacy and numeracy paying particular attention to detail and be able to meet deadlines
- Good communication and customer service skills both written and verbal
- A good team player but also be able to work effeciently and effectively independently

- Experience of working within a training/business environment

- Experience of working in a target driven environment and ability to work autonomously, flexibly and be self-motivated to achieve results
- Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills with all individuals, regardless of background
- Have an awareness of Information security and governance – including Data Protection, Freedom of Information, confidentiality, information security and sharing, the information lifecycle and data quality, to ensure compliance and efficient and effective information governance
- Have an awareness of Safeguarding – including the safeguarding of children, young people and/ or adults who may be at risk.

- Own reliable transport with full clean driving licence
