WorkSkills
The CMN accredited WorkSkills project exists to help learners to improve their understanding and application of work-based skills.
The project includes a dynamic five-day course to help prepare unemployed people to get back into work. Participants learn how to search and apply successfully for jobs, create an effective CV, master interview techniques and confidently make that transition into work.
Learners explore the behaviours needed to succeed in the work place and how to present to others; giving the confidence needed to be part of a team.
Day 1: Explore job opportunities and how to create and maintain an online presence
Day 2: Investigate how we communicate with others and what employers expect of an employee; including solving problems at work, personal presentation and behaviours in the workplace
Day 3: Adapt and modify application forms, cover letters and CV’s
Day 4: Interrogate interview strategies and techniques to help build confidence
Day 5: Reflect on team building skills and practice interview techniques
