As an overview, the Award in Education and Training gives the opportunity to explore:-
- Different learning styles
- Investigating the classroom environment including assessing risk
- The role of a teacher and the qualities needed to be one
- Lesson planning
- The principles of assessing a learners work
- Preparing and delivering a ‘micro teach’ – 5 and 15 minutes
The course will require you to undertake self-study and written assignments to build your own portfolio of work.
Duration: 5 Days (1 day a week for 5 weeks)
Location: Locations will be confirmed. Training courses are often delivered at the CMN Maritime Business Centre in Falmouth.
Dates: Course dates are set based on demand and once enquiries are received dates will be confirmed.
Where possible CMN use ESF and Government skills projects to fully or partially fund training. Enquire to see if you are eligible to receive funding support for training courses. Where funding is not available CMN deliver courses on a competitive fee paying basis.
