Job Description
Fugro are now recruiting for a Site Electrician to assist our team with the upkeep and day to day running of various vessel and drilling rigs within the company. You will support with the installation/mobilisation of jack up barges, offshore drills and subsea drills to project requirements and the general upkeep and maintenance of electrical equipment to ensure the smooth running and operation of the plant and equipment.

Who you’ll be working with:
You’ll work closely with Mechanical Engineers and Technical engineers to ensure that plant and equipment is kept up and running with minimal down time, and maintenance schedules are upheld.
Here’s what a typical day would be like:
Maintenance and upkeep of Electrical Systems.
Completing reports and keeping maintenance schedules up to date.
Install temporary/new or upgraded equipment onto assets when required to high standard as per compliant regulations
Maintain Critical Spares on site and ensure minimum quantities are maintained at all times. Implementing Improvements and mobilising new equipment.
Carry out Fault Finding on Electrical Systems and complete effective diagnosis or repair work to ensure equipment is back operational.
Assist in Deck/Drilling Operations when required.
Who we’re looking for:
Essential
Strong heavy industry or marine background
Approved electrical apprenticeship
NVQ level 3 electrical engineering
City & guilds level 3 electrotechnical studies
18th edition
Full clean UK driving license
Opito bosiet
Opito medical
Experience of 3 phase systems and motors / generators
Desirable
C & G 2391 – Advantageous
