Cornwall Councils Maritime Section are looking for a Maritime Assistant to work at Newquay Harbour on a fixed term contract to cover the summer season – April to October. Working under the supervision and guidance of the Newquay Harbour Master you will be responsible for the efficient and effective administration, operation and control of the Harbour in accordance with statutory requirements, Council policies and necessary commercial considerations. This is an interesting and varied post and we are looking for an enthusiastic person who can show a genuine interest in working within a marine environment.
You will be required to demonstrate some prior knowledge and understanding of the maritime industry and previous experience of undertaking other maintenance tasks within the marine environment would be an advantage.
