Overview
A sustainable built environment is designed for longevity, adaptability, and adopts circular economy concepts and practices, but it currently contributes to 40% of the UK’s carbon emissions.
This Level 2 accredited course will help you discover more about the relationship between the natural environment and the built environment, the need for protection of the natural environment, and the impact of construction industry activities versus sustainable construction techniques.
Participants will take a closer look at sustainability in the construction industry, specifically into the relationship between the progressive construction industry and built environment, and the steps being taken to become more sustainable.
About The Course
Delivered over two half-days, entirely online, this course will take a look at sustainable construction, green buildings, and global, local and indoor pollution. A closer look will also be taken at the environmental policies in the ever-changing Construction sector.
Participants will be introduced to the new innovative techniques businesses can implement and the range of alternative energy sources available across the sectors (wind, solar, geothermal etc.).
Learners will leave the course with both an understanding of the three pillars of sustainability and the skillsets needed to act as individuals at home and at work.
