JOB TITLE:  DESPATCH Lead     MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB:   To receive goods from Factory 2 and other ancillary materials (boxes, pallets etc.) into the Dispatch / Warehouse of Factory 1.   To Dispatch product OTIF in accordance with process and packing procedures for the relevant transit.   POSITION IN ORGANISATION:   Reports To:                                         Supply Chain Manager / Head of Operations Responsible For:                               Dispatch and Logistics in relation to Factory 1 Budget Responsibilities:                No budget responsibilities   QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:   Counterbalance FLT License (Any kind or up to a max operations) Reach Truck FLT License Warehouse and Dispatch experience – Essential SAGE or and ERP / MRP familiarization – Desirable Process improvement Activities experience – Desirable 5S understanding – Essential DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Load and unload vehicles and complete any paperwork in relation to external or internal deliveries when required Put coated stock away in racking Lead  warehouse stock count – Supply conversion with materials daily as plan dictates Ensure that all warehouse areas are clean and tidy with Good Housekeeping and 5S etiquette. Supply conversion with empty bins Supply conversion with pallets Lock/unlock gates when required Liaise with CV planning on any day-to-day issues Carry out forklift checks Put forklifts on charge Organize pallets and end caps behind compactor Turning and packing mill reels when required   GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES & WORKING PRACTICES:   Personal Responsibilities (Sections 7 & 8, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974):   To take reasonable care of their own health and safety, and that of other people who may be affected by their actions or omissions. To co-operate with Kernow Coatings and with other employees to comply with Health & Safety Law and Kernow Coatings Health and Safety Policies and Procedures Not to misuse or interfere with, intentionally or recklessly, anything provided in the interests of safety. To always abide by Kernow Coatings Health & Safety Rules and company handbook To ensure that all work activities are carried out in accordance with all applicable Safe Working Procedures and any specific instructions given in the interest of Health & Safety To report, and where possible prevent, unsafe practices, including horseplay, that may pose a risk to any person(s), and company property. Understand and adhere to Company Policies and Procedures Work with QMS team to ensure continual improvements with quality management system and processes and promote good practice. Training:   To undertake any training as required for the role and in the interests of Health & Safety.
