Hydraulic/Field Service Engineer

Armada Engineering are looking suitable candidates for position of Hydraulic Engineer to join our busy team based in Falmouth Cornwall.

Role

Hydraulic/Field service engineer to carry out general hydraulic engineering jobs, both workshop based and on site (shipyards, industrial & commercial).  Role requires conscientious, motivated & resourceful individuals who can adapt to working in different environments & new challenges.  Work to be carried out in local area and excellent opportunities to travel in the UK & Worldwide.  Ability to work alone & as part of a team on a range of projects.  Opportunities for career development.

Responsibilities

·         Complete Hydraulic installations

·         Overhaul of hydraulic pump/motors, valves & cylinders.

·         Hydraulic hose registering, removal, manufacture & installation

·         Hydraulic pipework – pipe bending, installation and flushing

·         General engineering/fitting duties

·         Troubleshooting & fault-finding hydraulic systems

·         Servicing of hydraulic equipment

·         Testing of hydraulic equipment

·         Working on Pneumatic systems

·         Working with senior engineers & customers

Essential Skills

·         Experience working on hydraulic system or good general engineering skills

·         Willing to learn & carry out training (on job & formal)

·         Good communication skills

·         Good organisation skills

·         Ability to follow technical drawings

·         Full UK Driving Licence and Passport

Additional skills

·         Pipe bending & fabrication

·         Welding & fabrication

·         Machining (Lathe & Mill)

·         Autocad (or similar)

08.00-16.30 Monday -Friday with opportunity for overtime

Very competitive rates of pay with enhanced away working rates
