Cornwall Marine Network are shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news this week of the sad loss of Mark Duddridge, Chairman of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership. Mark was a real champion for businesses in Cornwall and worked and campaigned passionately at regional and national levels to create a prosperous future for Cornwall’s economy.
Mark created and chaired the Cornwall Economic Recovery Group which has provided a forum for local business leaders and groups to meet fortnightly since Covid, in order to share latest sector performance and work together on initiatives that influence funders and help drive improvements.
Mark was a real friend and advocate of CMN. His energy, enthusiasm and drive for a more inclusive, ambitious and prosperous Cornwall was clear to anyone that met him and CMN thank him for the support he gave to both our network members and the marine sector as a whole.
Losing Mark is a great loss to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, and all those who knew him.
We send our condolences to Mark’s family, colleagues at the LEP and Cornwall Council, and the wider business community.
