We are organising a special sailing event in celebration of the life of James Wharram who died last December.

On Saturday 23rd July (weather permitting) there will be a Parade of Sail with a fleet of Wharram catamarans and other boats out of Falmouth to scatter the ashes of James and Ruth Wharram on the outgoing tide. The fleet will be headed by the latest 23’6″ Wharram design, MANA, which will be moored in Falmouth at Customs House Quay (behind Trago Mills) during Friday. James Wharram, the British pioneer of multihulls, moored his first 23’6″ catamaran TANGAROA in this same place in 1955 before sailing her across the Bay of Biscay and Atlantic Ocean. There will be information about TANGAROA to view on the Quay and we welcome visitors. All boats are welcome to join the Parade of Sail, monohull, multihull or motor boat, which should take place in the afternoon starting at high water.

After the Parade of Sail the Wharram catamarans will all moor at Point Quay in Restronguet creek, again we welcome visitors to come to view the boats and meet their crews.
