MCA STCW Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (FPFF) – Tuesday 30th April to Wednesday 1st May 2024 – £420pp (usually £525pp)
This 2 day course outlines precautions for minimising the risk of fire, the causes of fires and how to extinguish them. The course also includes practical training using fire fighting equipment and breathing apparatus in our purpose built unique fire fighting training facility. The realistic scenarios allow students to practise extinguishing various types and sizes of fires.
MCA STCW Personal Survival Techniques (PST) – Thursday 2nd May 2024 – £124pp (usually £155pp)
Teaches the actions to be taken by individuals to protect themselves in emergency situations. The first session is classroom based covering theoretical elements. The second session is practical training using life jackets, survival suits and inflatable life rafts in a realistic marine environment.
MCA STCW Update Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (U-FPFF) – Friday 3rd May 2024 – £248pp (usually £310pp)
Seafarers who hold an existing Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) certificate are required to complete this updating training course to maintain proficiency under the STCW 2010 Manila Amendments (STCW Section A-VI/1 & table A-VI/1-2).
MCA STCW Elementary First Aid (EFA) – Saturday 4th May 2024 – £104pp (usually £130pp) (valid for 5 years)
This one day course teaches basic first aid and life-saving skills with a balance of theory and practical work during training. It is designed to meet the minimum requirement for familiarisation and basic safety training for seafarers with designated emergency duties.
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) or RYA First Aid – Saturday 4th May 2024 – £72pp (usually £90pp) (valid for 3 years)
This course meets the requirements of the Health and Safety Executive for first aiders working in low risk environments (e.g. offices, shops, residential care settings etc.).
