We still have space on next week’s STCW Update – Basic Safety Training Course on Thursday 27th – Friday 28th June.
Under the new regulations, updated proficiency training for the above courses has to be undertaken every five years. Seafarers revalidating their UK Certificate of Competency after 1 January 2017 will be required to submit documentary evidence of having completed MCA approved updated proficiency training within the last five years. Thursday 27th June – STCW Personal Survival Techniques – Course cost £155, for CMN Members £124.00.
A little more about the course…
This course teaches the actions to be taken by individuals to protect themselves in emergency situations. The first session is classroom based covering theoretical elements. The second session is practical training using life jackets, survival suits and inflatable life rafts in a realistic marine environment.
Friday 28th June – STCW Update – Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting – Course cost £310, for CMN Members £248.
A little more about the course…
This is a practical one day fire course involving use of breathing apparatus, hoses, nozzles and extinguishers. The student has to demonstrate they are able to maintain the required standard of competence in fire prevention and fire fighting.
