New Year, Good News Stories!
Cornwall Marine Network (CMN) has created the ‘Ready to Earn’ programme, to provide an alternative educational programme to mainstream school and college. They will be using their new VLN 16-18 budget and their Adult Education Budget (AEB) for 19-24 NEETS across the Cornish county.
So what does the ‘Ready to Earn’ programme involve?
CMN will have a mixture of blended delivery, with both face to face and online learning and will be including the support from the CMN voluntary Marine Ambassadors in the following areas;
- Curriculum development
- Activities and taster days
- Work Experience and volunteering opportunities
- Inspirational career talks
- Mock Interviews
- Looking at placements, jobs and Apprenticeships.
The Ready to Earn project will create stronger working relationships and more realism with jobs between young people and businesses.
