The UK SHORE programme team are delighted to announce that applications for Transport Research and Innovation Grants (TRIG) are now open. TRIG 2026 forms part of our efforts to support the development and deployment of clean maritime technologies and will complement higher-Technology Readiness Level (TRL) competitions currently open: ZEVI2 and CMDC7.
Since 2021, the UK SHORE programme has supported 57 Maritime Decarbonisation TRIG projects across the UK with several projects continuing onto further UK SHORE competitions.
Once again delivered by Connected Places Catapult, there will be up to £2.385m worth of funding available for 53 early-stage projects (2-4 on the Technology Readiness Level scale), including 25 projects for Maritime Decarbonisation, 10 projects for Digital Twins and 5 for Freight Innovation.
