The first five Apprentices, employed by Cornwall Carpets and Flooring Ltd and enrolled on CMN’s Floor layer Level 2 Apprenticeship, undertook their final assessments at the beginning of July.  All were successful in achieving their Apprenticeship, with distinction grades being achieved in some areas.

This Apprenticeship is a real success for the region, being the first employer-led flooring apprenticeship programme in the country developed by industry, for industry, designed by Andy Hardy, MD of Cornwall Carpets and Flooring Ltd.  The Apprenticeship is delivered by Cornwall Marine Network (CMN Training and Skills).

The Floor layer Level 2 Apprenticeship is carried out at Cornwall Carpets and Flooring’s custom-designed training facility located in Launceston, delivered by CMN.  We are excited to be able to offer this training to other employers who are seeking to take on Apprentices and provide them with this high quality training opportunity.
