The South West Marine Careers Conference will be taking place on Friday 12th July, 12-8pm at The National Marine Aquarium Plymouth.
The South West Marine Careers Conference, funded through the Futureworks Programme, is a great opportunity for young people to learn more about the marine sector directly from marine employers and key speakers against the incredible backdrop of the UK’s largest marine aquarium.
Working across the south west peninsula, Futureworks brings together schools and businesses to excite, challenge and engage young people in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The Futureworks programme matches schools with local businesses to develop projects and activities intended to showcase the astonishing and demonstrate the rewarding career opportunities available through taking STEM subjects.
Up to 2000 young people are expected to attend the event, where exhibitors from across the South West will be showcasing future career pathways and higher education STEM subjects.
Tickets are free and available now on eventbrite.
