The Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency offers a new and unique approach to bringing businesses and apprentices together to help both parties succeed in their business objectives and career aspirations. The agency has been supporting businesses since 2012, and to celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, Sam from the Recruitment Team met up with 9 current apprentices and their employers to hear about their experiences. Here’s what they had to say:
“Overall the process was very smooth, the recruitment was very relaxed and not stressful at all.” – Oliver Jenkin, Spacecraft Operations Apprentice at Avanti Communications
“It’s quite an easy process. The Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency got back to me quickly and made my next steps really clear.” – Coran Finlay, Commis Chef Apprentice at Saracens Plate
“The Agency gave me a lot of support before interview and lots of useful information was provided.” – Abby Kendall, Associate Administration Apprentice at Marengo Communications
“My experience was really good. I found the vacancy on Indeed, and I always knew what was going on and was kept updated.” – Holley Lann, Customer Service Apprentice at Castle Vets
Some feedback from employers included:
“The Cornwall Apprenticeship Agency was really helpful and efficient. We were kept up to date throughout the whole process and wouldn’t change a thing!” – Steve Cox, Castle Vets
“Steve (CMN’s Lead Skills Broker) visited us to explain how apprenticeships worked and what funding was available. He even supported with the interviews to answer any questions specifically about the apprenticeship. This made the process pain-free.” – Steve Jolly, Marengo Communications Ltd.
“The process was clear and thorough, and left me with no doubt about each stage” – Tamsyn, Saracens Plate
