RYA Powerboat Courses (vessels under 10m)
Our RYA Powerboat courses are ideal for those who are using open powered craft, such as RIBs and sports boats. All of our powerboat training instructors have extensive experience with various powered craft and each of our courses can be tailored to your needs, ensuring your time with us is as practical, constructive and enjoyable as possible.
These courses are aimed specifically at beginner adults and juniors who are looking to drive powerboats for the first time. Experienced drivers are also able to use these courses to improve their skills whilst learning more about seamanship, navigation and night driving for both recreational and commercial purposes.
RYA courses for vessels over 10m (motorboats)
If you are interested in skippering a motorboat vessel over 10m, our selection of RYA Courses are a must. Designed to equip you with all the necessary skills and techniques to safely skipper a vessel over 10m, these RYA courses provide the chance to practice boat handling techniques, learn essential skills and gain a firm understanding of onboard safety procedures.
Set on the beautiful Carrick Roads near Falmouth, our training school is one of the most picturesque and sheltered places to learn in Europe. Our courses navigate the upper reaches of the Fal Estuary and Truro River, and extend to the Helford River and Fowey. Whatever the weather, we guarantee a rewarding and enjoyable experience with a student-to-instructor ratio of 4:1, for optimal learning conditions.
